Playcrafters Barn Theatre is one of the oldest standing theatre companies in the Quad Cities. The non-profit company has been entertaining the area for over 93 years in a barn that was converted into a functioning theatre with an intimate stage, lobby, dressing rooms, and plenty of seating, including accessible spaces.

“It’s our hidden treasure amongst a neighborhood of houses,” said Fundraising Chair Kathy Graham.

The board of the theatre prides itself on being a welcoming, inclusive space for anyone who joins, whether it be on-stage, backstage, or sitting in the audience.

“We want everyone to be involved,” said President Yvonne Siddique.

“This is truly community theatre,” said Secretary Alisha Hanes.

Playcrafters put on a variety of shows throughout the year including local, edgy, diverse, young, classic, etc. You can find a list of planned shows on their website and Facebook, along with information about how to get involved.
